Where in the World was Ouest House?

We did some traveling over spring break, and although returning to Jackson is always a welcome moment—and a reminder of how lucky we are to live here—we love getting out in the world to see what Japan, Hawaii, and California have up their sleeve.
Travel is in our DNA and by sharing, we translate trip details into stories you’ll revisit. We’re devoted to art, food, and a little excess (and we hope you are, too!)
Spring, with a Little Less Clutter—and a Better Website.

There’s an energy to spring that feels like an invitation and a little nudge. One day it’s snow and ski boots by the door, and the next it’s running shoes, open windows, and that familiar urge to reorganize and zhuzh.
For Ouest House, it’s the season of small resets and a little spontaneity. A change of scenery (hello, road trips). A moment to revise our portfolio and dive into summer travel planning. In our homes, it’s the satisfying ritual of an edited closet, a clean garage, and maybe a detailed truck. Each day brings another minute of light and a spring in our steps.
La Liste Noelle

Fresh snow settles on the Tetons, the Town Square lights are aglow, and with each new blanket of white, the annual hunt for the perfect gift begins. This year, we’re choosing gifts that carry resonance—less of the forgettable and more of the memorable. Consider this our House guide to giving: a collection of offerings from the incredible clients who inspire us year-round.

Ouest House is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Hancock as Creative Director, expanding its leadership team with one of the Mountain West’s most accomplished creative talents.
With more than 28 years of experience in creative direction, branding, and design, Michael brings an exceptional combination of strategy, imagination, and execution. His story starts with a ten-year-old’s goal card that read simply: Be an artist. (Mission accomplished.)
Our Dog Days of Summer

Ordinary dogs in an extraordinary place is the definition of our Ouest House companions. If you’re picturing long trail runs, delicious river soaks, lazy porch naps, and sun-induced ennui, you’re sniffing in the right direction. The Dog Days of Summer are here, and no one knows them better than our Ouest House canine crew: Gigi, Bruce, and Copper.
La Liste: A Little Wild, A Lot Wilson

Why Wilson? Because it’s home. It’s where we wave to our neighbors on the bike path and bump into each other over bouquets and baguettes, and where we’re just as likely to strike up a conversation with a visitor as we are to pet three dogs in five minutes. To us, Wilson is one of the last best places in Jackson because it’s small, walkable, and a community where front porch hellos still matter and the familiar faces that make Wilson feel easy and extraordinary are many.
Where French Meets West

In the International Phonetic Alphabet, the French word, “Ouest” is written as /wεst/, which is identical to the English pronunciation of “West.”
So, why the French?
Long before French-Canadian trappers ventured into the rugged landscapes of what is now Jackson Hole, the Indigenous Peoples of this land had already named and shaped it. The towering peaks, wild rivers, and panoramic valleys were known and honored by the Eastern Shoshone, Crow, and other First Nations who lived, hunted, and traveled through for generations.
Building Memories at the Table

Women are caretakers and creators. We raise children, run households, grow businesses, and seamlessly manage it all. But more than that, we build memories, mentor younger generations, and create traditions. That’s what this summer Tomato Tarte recipe is all about.
Social vs. Social: finding value in social media

If you’re searching for a reason to STOP the madness of the quick fixes your devices are begging you to surrender to, start here! We’re here to remind you to reclaim your attention like it’s the most valuable currency you have, slow down your consumption, and choose what you give your time to. That kind of discernment is a practice, and it’s one we believe in deeply.
