Fresh Toast
Welcome to Ouest Toast, where discerning eyes and imaginative minds chase inspiring stories from the West.
When fresh toast pops up, expect something hot, crisp, and ready to devour. We’re hypnotized by delicious design, ecstatic about fresh ideas, and hooked on that feeling of landing that rambunctious rainbow.
Here, we celebrate the sublime and the silly, the boundary-breaking moves, and the journeys that pull us toward what truly gets us up the mountain!

Our Dog Days of Summer
Ordinary dogs in an extraordinary place is the definition of our Ouest House companions. If you’re picturing long trail runs, delicious river soaks, lazy porch naps, and sun-induced ennui, you’re sniffing in the right direction. The Dog Days of Summer are here, and no one knows them better than our Ouest House canine crew: Gigi, Bruce, and Copper.
La Liste: A Little Wild, A Lot Wilson
Why Wilson? Because it’s home. It’s where we wave to our neighbors on the bike path and bump into each other over bouquets and baguettes, and where we’re just as likely to strike up a conversation with a visitor as we are to pet three dogs in five minutes. To us, Wilson is one of the last best places in Jackson because it’s small, walkable, and a community where front porch hellos still matter and the familiar faces that make Wilson feel easy and extraordinary are many.
Where French Meets West
In the International Phonetic Alphabet, the French word, "Ouest" is written as /w?st/, which is identical to the English pronunciation of "West."
So, why the French?
Long before French-Canadian trappers ventured into the rugged landscapes of what is now Jackson Hole, the Indigenous Peoples of this land had already named and shaped it. The towering peaks, wild rivers, and panoramic valleys were known and honored by the Eastern Shoshone, Crow, and other First Nations who lived, hunted, and traveled through for generations.

Building Memories at the Table
Women are caretakers and creators. We raise children, run households, grow businesses, and seamlessly manage it all. But more than that, we build memories, mentor younger generations, and create traditions. That's what this summer Tomato Tarte recipe is all about.
